Schroeder Moving Systems, Inc. was established in 1947 with a single
canvas top Chevy truck. Harold Schroeder operated the business out of his home, working on the truck himself with his off-duty fireman friends.
Mrs. Schroeder arranged and scheduled moves during the day, while raising eight children.

Now - 60 years later - Harold's two sons - Jim and John - have children of their own working in the business. Between the two locations, they have well over 200,000 square feet of warehouse space. In addition to storing furniture, the warehouses are also used for distribution of office equipment and heavy machinery throughout the country. Also, Schroeder now runs over 100 vans throughout the United States and Canada.
